EIA: OPEC+ oil production seen at 27.5M bpd in Q1 of 2021

The United States Energy Information Administration (EIA) expects the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and its partners (OPEC+) producers to hit an average output of 27.5 million barrels per day (bpd) in the first quarter of 2021, up 1.9 million bpd from 2020.
OPEC+ agreed to gradually raise production by up to 500,000 bpd over the next three months, on December 3. The output boost would result in an increase of 1.5 million bpd at the end of the first quarter of 2021, and the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC) would convene each month to review the effect of the measure on the oil markets.
EIA estimated on Tuesday that the oil production in the US stood at 11.2 million barrels per day (bpd) in November, 300,000 bpd higher compared to September.
