Foreign visitor arrivals fell by 71.95 pct. in Jan-Nov. annually

Istanbul, Dec 25 ( people, - The number of foreign visitor arrivals in Turkey plunged by 61.93 percent in November and by 71.95 percent in the January-November period on an annual basis, according to the tourist arrivals data, released by the Ministry of Culture And Tourism on Friday.


According to the temporary data obtained from the General Directorate of Security, 834 thousand foreign visitors arrived in November and 12.03 million foreign visitors arrived in the January-November period.
During November, the top five provinces foreign visitors entered Turkey from were;
1-Istanbul with a 52.75 percent share or 439,920 people,
2-Edirne with a 20.33 percent share or 169,528 people,
3-Antalya with a 12.02 percent share or 100,209 people,
4-Şırnak with a 4.13 percent share or 34,431 people,
5-Kırklareli with a 2.96 percent share or 24,677 people.
In November, foreign visitor arrivals were from Bulgaria with 17.18 percent share and 143,269 people, Rusia with 15.24 percent share and 127,116 people, Iraq with 8.85 percent share and 48,748 people, Ukraine 4.45 percent share with 37,098 people, and Germany with 4.14 percent share and 34,489 people.
