TurkStat-Agricultural input prices rise by 3.23 pct. monthly in Nov.

Agricultural input prices (Agricultural-IPI) increased by 3.23 percent on monthly basis and increased by 15.35 percent on an annual basis in November, according to the Agricultural Input Price Index data, released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) on Thursday.


Agriculture-PPI increased by 14.40 percent in the January-November period and increased by 9.21 percent compared to twelve months averages in November.


Monthly changes with respect to the previous month by main groups, goods, and services contributing to the agricultural investment index increased by 2.16 percent, and goods and services currently consumed in the agricultural index increased by 3.41 percent. 


The goods and services currently consumed in the agricultural index increased by 14.94 percent and goods and services contributing to the agricultural investment index increased by 17.96 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.


The other subgroups that indicated a high increase were farm buildings (non-residential) with 24.38 percent and animal feedingstuffs with 23.37 percent. On the other hand, veterinary expenses with 0.62 percent and seed and planting stock with 0.64 percent and energy; lubricants with 0.89 percent were the subgroups where low annual increases realized.


The highest monthly increase was 4.89 percent in the animal feedingstuffs subgroup. By the subgroups that indicated a high increase was the maintenance of materials with 4.06 percent and maintenance of buildings with 3.38 percent. 


On the other hand, seeds and planting stock with 0.35 percent, other goods and services with 0.80 percent, and plant protection and services with 0.94 percent were the subgroups where low monthly increases realized.
