TurkStat-Construction costs rise by 25.02 percent in 2020

Construction costs increased by 2.68 percent on monthly basis and increased by 25.02 percent on an annual basis in December, according to the Construction Cost Index data, released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) on Wednesday.


Material costs increased by 3.74 percent and labour costs increased by 0.20 percent compared with the previous month. Also, material costs increased by 30.34 percent and labour costs increased by 13.74 percent compared with the previous year.


Building construction cost costs increased by 2.74 percent compared with the previous month and increased by 25.09 percent compared with the same month of the previous year. 
Material costs increased by 3.86 percent and labour costs increased by 0.18 percent compared with the previous month. Also, material costs increased by 30.48 percent and labour costs increased by 13.96 percent compared with the previous year.


Construction cost costs for civil engineering increased by 2.51 percent compared with the previous month and increased by 24.79 percent compared with the same month of the previous year. 


Material costs increased by 3.38 percent and labour costs increased by 0.27 percent compared with the previous month. Also, material costs increased by 29.93 percent and labour costs increased by 12.96 percent compared with the previous year.
