TurkStat-Non-domestic producer prices fall by 0.76 pct. in Dec.

Non-domestic producer price index (ND-PPI) decreased by 0.76 percent monthly and increased by 37.56 percent annually in December, according to the Non-Domestic Producer Price Index data, released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) on Wednesday.


ND-PPI decreased by 0.76 percent monthly, increased by 37.56 percent in December of the previous year, by 37.56 percent on the same month of the previous year, and by 22.69 percent on the twelve months moving averages basis in December 2020.


ND-PPI in two main sectors of industry increased by 38.24 percent for mining and quarrying, by 37.54 percent for manufacturing compared with the previous year.


The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 38.93 percent for intermediate goods, by 50.24 percent for durable consumer goods, by 36.26 percent for non-durable consumer goods, decreased by 11.25 percent for energy, increased by 37.82 percent for capital goods, annually.


ND-PPI in two main sectors of the industry decreased by 2.92 percent for mining and quarrying, by 0.72 percent for manufacturing compared with the previous month.


The indices of main industrial groups; decreased by 0.36 percent for intermediate goods, by 0.41 percent for durable consumer goods, by 1.00 percent for non-durable consumer goods, increased by 1.77 percent for energy, decreased by 1.36 percent for capital goods, monthly.
