CRYPTOCURRENCY - Bitcoin hits all-time high of $63,835.01

The price of Bitcoin hit the new all-time high of 63,835.01 dollars, setting a fresh record fueled by investor optimism about the world's most famous cryptocurrency. 

Bitcoin increased by 4.82 percent in the last 24 hours to 63,830.89 dollars, after fluctuating between 60,367.86 and 63,835.01 dollars, while the currency's weekly gain was calculated at 10.24 percent. Bitcoin's total market volume was at 1.0 trillion 191 billion dollars.


Ethereum, the second-largest unit of the crypto currency markets, also increased by 8.08 percent in the last 24 hours to 2,346.01 dollars, while its weekly gain was 11.14 percent; the market volume of the unit also rose to 270.85 billion dollars.


Binance Coin, the third-largest unit of the crypto currency markets, decreased by 0.44 percent in the last 24 hours to 567.52 dollars, while its weekly gain was 40.47 percent; the market volume of the unit also rose to 87.79 billion dollars.


With increasing corporate purchases, the total market capitalisation, which exceeded the 1.5 trillion dollar limit for the first time in history on February 15, was at 2.22 trillion dollars on early Wednesday, after passing 2.0 trillion dollars level on April 10.


While the value of 34 units decreased from the highest volume of 100 units in the last 24 hours in the crypto money markets, one of the top 10 units was among those that fell.


Bitcoin accounted for 53.6 percent and Ethereum for 12.2 percent of the total market volume in 38,186 markets where 9.213 cryptocurrencies were traded, while the 24-hour trading volume in all markets was at 207 billion dollars.
