CRYPTOCURRENCY - Bitcoin touches over $59,000 level

The price of Bitcoin bounced back to over the 59,000 dollars level, after hitting the 53,000 dollars line, falling from a new record high of a 61,683.86-dollar level, on fresh corporate purchases.

Bitcoin increased by 5.17 percent in the last 24 hours to 58,782.27 dollars, after fluctuating between 54,528.63 and 59,391.81 dollars, while the weekly gain of the currency was calculated at 5.21 percent. Bitcoin's total market volume was at 1.0 trillion 96.9 billion dollars.


Ethereum, the second-largest unit of the crypto currency markets, also rose 3.54 percent in the last 24 hours to 1,830.01 dollars, while its weekly earnings were 1.89 percent; the market volume of the unit also increased to 210.76 billion dollars.


Cardano, the third largest unit of the crypto currency markets, rose 14.95 percent in the last 24 hours to 1.40 dollars, with a weekly gain of 24.16 percent; the market volume of the unit also increased to 44.79 billion dollars.


With increasing corporate purchases, the total market capitalisation, which exceeded the 1.5 trillion dollar limit for the first time in history on February 15, was at 1 trillion 805.78 billion dollars in the early hours of Thursday.


While the value of 14 units decreased from the highest volume of 100 units in the last 24 hours in the crypto money markets, one of the top 10 units was among those that fell.,


Bitcoin accounted for 60.9 percent and Ethereum for 11.7 percent of the total market volume in 36,644 markets where 8,861 cryptocurrencies were traded, while the 24-hour trading volume in all markets was at 141 billion dollars.
