Fed's Bullard: Too early to change monetary policy

NEWS IN ENGLISH

St. Louis Federal Reserve Chairman James Bullard stated on Monday that the coronavirus pandemic hasn't "come to a close" in the United States, requiring monetary policy to remain accomodating.

The official predicts that the US economy will expand 6.5 percent in 2021, which will mark "one of the fastest growths" that the country has seen since the 1980s.
Yesterday, Federal Reserve head Jerome Powell said the country's economic expansion is expected to increase unless it is halted by a new outbreak in Covid-19.
