The Government has released final details on which businesses will be allowed to stay open during lockdown and which will have to close.

Details of some businesses that can continue trading during the second national lockdown were published after Prime Minister Boris Johnson's speech on Saturday, October 31, however there were many sectors that were left without clarifications.

Under the new lockdown rules only businesses that are deemed essential will be allowed to remain open from Thursday, November 5 which includes supermarkets, pharmacies and garden centres.

Dentists, opticians and a whole host of other businesses were left in limbo though when the PM made the initial announcement on Saturday.
