TurkStat-Domestic producer prices rose by 4.13 pct. in March monthly

Domestic producer prices increased by 4.13 percent on monthly basis and by 31.20 percent on an annual basis in March, according to the Domestic Producer Price Index data, released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) on Monday.

Domestic producer prices increased by 8.21 percent in the first quarter of the year, and increased by 17.04 percent on the 12 months moving averages basis in March.


Domestic producer prices in four main sectors of industry increased by 21.26 percent for mining and stone quarrying, increased by 33.96 percent for manufacturing, increased by 2.55 percent for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, increased by 27.30 percent for water supply, annually.


The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 37.72 percent for intermediate goods, increased by 29.68 percent for durable consumer goods, increased by 23.98 percent for non-durable consumer goods, increased by 23.27 percent for energy, increased by 27.31 percent for capital goods, annually.


Domestic producer prices in four main sectors of industry increased by 3.03 percent for mining and stone quarrying, increased by 4.33 percent for manufacturing, increased by 2.87 percent for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, increased by 0.42 percent for water supply, monthly.


The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 5.05 percent for intermediate goods, increased by 1.66 percent for durable consumer goods, increased by 2.73 percent for non-durable consumer goods, increased by 5.93 percent for energy, increased by 2.62 percent for capital goods, monthly.


The lowest rates of annual increase in domestic producer prices by subdivisions of industry were the indices for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning by 2.55 percent, for leather and related products by 7.51 percent, for wearing apparel by 8.64 percent. 


On the other hand the highest rates of annual increase in domestic producer prices by sub divisions of industry were for coke and refined petroleum products by 76.19 percent, for basic metals by 60.98 percent, for paper and paper products by 45.03 percent.


The only rate of monthly decrease in domestic producer prices by subdivisions of industry was index for leather and related products by 1.18 percent. 


On the other hand the highest rates of monthly increase in domestic producer prices by subdivisions of industry were coke and refined petroleum products by 14.03 percent, for basic metals by 9.05 percent, basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutic preparations by 7.28 percent.
