Upon the increase in input costs, bread and other bakery products increased by at least 50 cents.

Ömer Çıralı, who made a statement on behalf of the Bakers Union, stated that the input costs such as flour and gas have increased significantly and that the decision has been made to raise bakery products.

"IT WAS NOT DONE FOR 2 YEARS ... IT WOULD NOT SAVE 50 COINS, 1 TL WAS NEEDED TO BE DONE"

Stating that bread has not been raised for two years, Çıralı said, “An increase of approximately 50 kurus was made. In fact, this figure does not save the baker either. The baker made a raise as minimal as possible. Normally, when we consider the increases, at least 1 TL hike should be made ”.

"THE INCREASE MADE TO OTHERS IS HIGHER"

Stating that the increase was not only made on loaves of bread, the prices of all bakery products increased, Çıralı said, “The increase in other types of bread and bakery products is higher than loaf bread”.

Stating that all bakeries are free to determine prices, Çıralı said, “In the past, the Bakers' Association used to make a decision, and the bakeries warned this decision. But this is no longer the case. Bakers set their own price policies within the framework of free competition conditions, ”he said.
