Generous pre-Christmas treats from King Charles

Charles will give a one-off £600 “out of his own pocket” to staff who earn less than £30,000 a year and are unable to pay their bills.

According to the news in the British press, King Charles wrote that 600 steles will each be donated to his team of cleaning workers, maids, butlers and security guards who bleed less than £30,000 a year.

It was stated that Charles would make the payment from his own private income, not from the income transferred from the taxpayers.

It is reported that 491 full-time staff are employed at the royal estates, which include Buckingham Palace, Balmoral and Windsor Castle.

"The king is very aware that people are facing rising energy bills, and he is concerned about the economic well-being of the Loyal palace staff and is doing his best," the royal source said.

Charles made a series of dispositions when he ascended to the throne after the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth. Charles, who started by reducing the number of traditionally invited 8,000 guests for the funeral to 2,000, limited the official throne ceremony to be held for him on May 6, 2023 to just one day.
